Read all the way through kids.

Hello fellow Power Hawks. Please find below information about our end of the year party. I NEED YOU TO RSVP TO ME ASAP. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU ARE ABLE TO BRING ANY OF THE THINGS LISTED  AT THE BOTTOM.

Power Hawks Robotics Club Inc. End of the Year Picnic

Sunday May 23rd 11:00-2:30ish pm.

11:00 am- everyone arrives

We will group up in the cafeteria and I will make some welcoming announcements

There will be three activities to take part in; kickball, ultimate Frisbee, and video game tournaments

People will divide up to participate in whatever event they choose (parents, we will be thinking of stuff for grownups if you don't want to play kickball)

12:10 pm- dodge ball tournament in the cafeteria

12:15 pm- grill gets fired up

Dan Marker and any volunteers will start cooking

People who want to start coming in to eat can

1:00 pm- lunch (sponsors will arrive- Jeanne can you call and invite them? I will get you all the info I have tomorrow)

All activities will cease and everybody will hopefully come and eat

1:45 pm- Closing ceremonies

We will begin by presenting and awards to attending sponsors and thanking them for their support

Unveiling of new team organization chart and new application to be on team

There will also be a chart for the mentors that will be detail what and where we need parents help out for next year

I will give out awards to kids for various things

Team picture (Jeanne let me know what you need for this setup)

2:30 pm- everybody goes home red eyed from crying because robotics is over (for now…hahahhahahaha)

Here's what I need from parents:

2- volunteers for food prep

4- volunteers for setup

2- cases of diet coke or Pepsi

1- Frisbee

150- forks, knives, and spoons

10- tomatoes (for hamburgers)

2- heads of lettuce

4- pkgs of sliced cheddar and American cheese

This will be pot luck so if you want to bring side dishes or specialty items (read brownies) that would be great. We will be serving hamburgers and hot dogs. If you have a food allergy or need a vegetarian meal please let me know.

Here's what I need from students:

2- video game systems for video game tournaments (you guys will have to work it out)

I would love it if we could get everyone to wear their Power Hawks apparel. Kids, you must wear your shirts for a group picture, parents if you've got it, strut it.

The South River High School Power Hawks Robotics Team, team #1111, is a non-profit organization of students and adult mentors dedicated to the practical education of future engineers based in Edgewater, Maryland.
