PLEASE READ ALL THE WAY THROUGH!

So, as most of you are digging out, there are still several of our team members working diligently on the robot. Taylor Collins has been at Dave Cruz's house for almost five days straight making sure things stay on track. A big thanks to Taylor and Dave Cruz for all their hard work along with all the team members who have been working so hard through this stormy season.

Here's what's happening:
- The robot has undergone some pretty significant modifications to allow for it to be completed on time and have the best chance at success. Taylor has said that they should be finished by Sat. morning.
- We have to order t-shirts tomorrow: Please email Melissa Zehner at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it  with your t-shirt size and that of the extras that you will be ordering (for your parents and for you so you don't get stinky in ATL) AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Mentors- Melissa also needs your sizes, please email her.
- Award deadlines have not changed- If you were working on awards and have not been able to get anything done due to computer problems, they still need to get done. I can open up the school or you can visit a public library, but they have to get finished. Let me know what resources you need and I will help out as best as possible.

- We are going to try and have a meeting Saturday afternoon, from 12-4. Hopefully those that are working on the robot will be far enough along that they can bring in all the parts for programming to get their hands on.

Sallie, I'd like to do lunch on Saturday, I don't know which parent's turn it is. Let me know what to do to help out.

If you know of someone on the team without computer access, please email them and give them all of this information.

Saturday's meeting is still tenative, but I'm trying to make sure it happens. It def. needs to happen.

Who We Are...

The South River High School Power Hawks Robotics Team, team #1111, is a non-profit organization of students and adult mentors dedicated to the practical education of future engineers based in Edgewater, Maryland. These motivated students annually design and build a robot to compete locally and nationally in the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) robotics competition. The Power Hawks improve their science, technology, engineering, and math skills, learn to cooperatively problem solve, and develop self-confidence, communication skills, and leadership.
